Learning Together

Ben Franklin,

His Life and Times

Three books work as a team or alone.

Ben Franklin Reader

This handy little 173-page book is a library under one cover. All about Ben Franklin, it has stories for every age and every reading level.  Most of the stories are brought back from readers and history books of the 20th century, a time when biographies were read from the youngest readers to adults. Other stories are original, written by Joyce Herzog.

Each one brings out different details of the life of America’s first Ambassador to the world, a great statesman, inventor and author. The adult story has a copy of a letter written by Ben Franklin to his pastor just months before his death answering the question, “What do you believe about religion?” The story for the earliest readers was illustrated by an eleven-year-old boy. This book will travel around your family or class and give each member something to share about this man of the ages. - $18
