Teaching Teachers, Enhancing Learning
Timeless Teaching Tips is the culmination of Joyce
Herzog’s decades of learning through teaching. It shows you
how to infuse your teaching with fun and personality. It is practical guidance, principles of teaching and character training, suffused with ideas of how to apply the best to various situations and age levels. Whether you are wanting to get started on the right
need a fresh start, you’ll find this book to be a solution.
Many of the secrets Joyce hints at in her most popular workshop “Secrets Teachers Never Tell” are addressed in depth here.
One mom to seven was handed a copy of Timeless Teaching Tips. A few minutes later, engrossed in the book, she said, “This book is too deep. I cannot scan this book.” Some time later, she wrote this: TTT (Timeless Teaching Tips) is a wealth of knowledge that blessed me in my teaching. From page to page the information and ideas were priceless. Joyce breaks each
topic down in practical steps that are sure to be an asset to
your children. TTT is a great tool to help you focus on the
joys of teaching each and every child.” Kim
Timeless Teaching Tips
This is a great companion to Luke’s Life List. Together they give balance between academics & spiritual/character development.
Lists the topics and skills normally addressed in the elementary through junior high ages. Use to decide what your learner knows, what he needs to learn and what you consider non-important. Then you can decide when and how to teach it (informally or through life events, a published program, a text or a full curriculum).
By fifth or sixth grade, you can hand the book to the student and have him mark the ones he knows vs, the ones he needs to learn, the ones he can study independently vs. the ones he needs instruction on. Simplify your world so you have time to discover and pursue character and individual passions.

This list of character, life and biblical skills complements the school skills listed in Luke’s School List.
It begins with “Early Childhood Skills” and ends with
